Our mulled apple & rhubarb vodka spritz recipe is a firm favourite for the colder months.  

Ingredients for 4 drinks:

4 cans of Forage Drinks Apple & Rhubarb vodka spritz

4 whole star anises

4 cloves

Grated nutmeg

Cinnamon stick

100ml freshly squeezed orange juice

Sugar syrup 

Dehydrated orange wheel


Chop your orange and squeeze into a jug

Pop your saucepan on the hob and pour your Forage Apple & Rhubarb vodka spritzes into the pan

Leave to heat up for a few minutes

Add your star anise, cloves, freshly grated nutmeg, cinnamon stick and 100ml of orange juice to the pan

Bring to the boil and leave to simmer for 5 minutes

Carefully pour into glasses (we like to use a small sieve to stop the spices floating in the drinks) 

Sweeten to taste with your sugar syrup (or you can add a splosh of sloe gin if you fancy an additional boozy kick) 

Give the drinks a good stir, garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel and enjoy! 

How to make sugar syrup

Dissolve 100g sugar in 50ml of water over a low heat and leave to cool

*We like to use light brown muscovdo sugar as it gives a nutty caramel taste
